Sunday Film Series

The Sunday Film Series features current and classic movies shown on select Sunday afternoons at 2:30 pm, with free refreshments, courtesy of Friends of the Library.

In collaboration with the Community Read of "The Right Stuff," the library will present an epic historical drama on Sunday, September 28th at 2:30 pm. This film is rated PG and recounts the Apollo 13 lunar mission crisis of 1970. Starring Tom Hanks, Bill Paxton, Kevin Bacon, and Gary Sinise.

On Sunday, October 26 at 2:30 pm, the library will show a horror/comedy film starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy. Three witch sisters are resurrected in Salem on Halloween night in this PG film.

The library will show a popular film about P.L. Tavers, the author of the Mary Poppins books on Sunday, November 23 at 2:30 pm. Tavers reflects on her childhood after reluctantly meeting with Walt Disney, who seeks to adapt her Mary Poppins books for the big screen. Starring Tom Hanks, Emma Thompson, Colin Farrell, and Paul Giamatti. This film is rated PG-13.
 
Enjoy the crime comedy film based on Janet Evanovich's 1994 novel on Sunday, December 14 at 2:30 pm. Katherine Heigl stars as bail enforcement agent Stephanie Plum. Also starring Jason O'Mara, Debbie Reynolds, Daniel Sunjata and Sherri Shepherd, this film is rated PG-13.
