Summer Reading Program 2019 

Summer reading isn't just for the kids anymore! From June 1 to August 31, join the Summer Reading Program. Adult participants will be entered into a prize bag drawing each week you read. 

Explorations: A Forum for Adults 

An ongoing lecture and discussion series for adults on selected Sunday afternoons from 3-4pm.

The Douglass Center Book Club 

Book club meets once per month at the Douglass Community Center. Books are available for pickup at the library.

Sunday Afternoon Writer's Group

Writers and illustrators of all writing styles are welcome to attend a writer's workshop held selected Sunday afternoons. Connect with other writers and artists, chat about your craft, and get feedback on your work.

Mobile Printing 

Use your personal computer or mobile device from anywhere to print directly to the library's printers. Once documents are submitted, come to the library during operational hours to release, pay, and print your documents.

Book Club Kits 

Book club kits may be borrowed from the library. Each kit contains 10 copies of the book and a discussion guide. Kits check out for a six week period with no renewals to one SPPL library card member. Learn more about the checkout policies and procedures.

Free Tax Help

American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) trained volunteers offered free tax assistance for middle and low-income seniors in filing their tax returns. This service took place on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. from February 2nd through April 13th, 2019. Help was available on a first-come, first served basis.
