Short Term Rental/Tourist Home

Short term rentals have become very popular around the country and throughout the world. Recognizing that popularity as well as the need to protect residential neighborhoods and the charm of Southern Pines, these businesses are regulated by the Town and allowed only in certain zoning areas. The Town of Southern Pines allows short term rentals, what is defined as a Tourist Home in our Unified Development Ordinance, in four zoning areas only: the Downtown Overlay, Office Services, General Business, and Central Business zones.
